Sour belch. Reasons

Acidic belching after eating may be associated with an organ pathology of the digestive canal or with dietary errors. A single episode of acid regurgitation should not cause concern, but repeated or prolonged acid regurgitation after eating is a reason to visit a gastroenterologist or family doctor. The causes of acidic belching after eating Excessive consumption of spicy and spicy foods, alcoholic beverages, as well as coffee and strong tea can provoke acid regurgitation even in a completely healthy person. Discomfort occurs after a short time after eating. Special treatment is not required, it is enough to pay more attention to your health, observing the rules of proper nutrition and eating behavior. However, in most cases, acid regurgitation is associated with acute and chronic diseases of the digestive tract. Among them, the most relevant are:- food poisoning;- hyperacid gastritis;- peptic ulcer;- gastroeophageal reflux; - malignant and benign neoplasms; - hernia of the diaphragmatic opening;- obesity. In each of the cases described above, bitter-sour belching occurs as a result of certain pathological changes, which will be treated later. Finding out the cause of acid regurgitation is one of the main components of therapy for a particular patient.Food poisoning is one of the most common infectious diseases. The reason for its development is a variety of bacterial toxins that accumulate in food products. The lack of heat treatment leads to the accumulation of toxin and the occurrence of mass poisoning of people. The most dangerous products from this point of view include: any salads, confectionery, dairy products, meat jelly.Sometimes sour (bitter) belching may be the only symptom, for example, in the case of a small infectious dose. However, most often the clinical picture of food poisoning is quite violent. All signs of the disease develop acutely, against the background of complete health. At first, the body temperature rises to high levels, there is a diffuse abdominal pain combined with nausea, repeated episodes of vomiting and diarrhea. The disease is benign, and after a few days of detoxification therapy, all symptoms disappear without a trace.Gastroesophageal reflux disease Acid regurgitation and heartburn are constant companions of a patient with this disease. The problem lies in the insufficiency of the sphincter between the stomach and the esophageal tube, as a result of which the contents of the stomach are systematically thrown into the esophagus, its mucous membrane is damaged.Such symptoms may occur after eating certain foods, overeating, taking a horizontal position immediately after eating, or too much physical activity. All of the above provokes a reverse cast of food masses.Belching appears somewhat earlier than heartburn, as the second symptom is observed with morphological changes in the mucous membrane. The sooner the treatment is started and the lifestyle is adjusted, the more comfortable the patient will feel.Hyperacid gastritis - inflammatory changes in the gastric mucosa in combination with increased synthesis of hydrochloric acid can be triggered by a stressful situation, poor nutrition, and hereditary factors. The clinical picture is dominated by pain in the epigastric region, heartburn and belching. As the disease progresses, the intensity of these symptoms increases.Only timely drug therapy and a balanced diet can restore lost health to the patient. In the absence of such a hyperacid gastritis can easily transform into a stomach ulcer.Peptic ulcer disease occurs with similar clinical symptoms, however, in this case, more serious morphological changes are revealed. Ulcerative defects of various depths form on the surface of the gastric mucosa. In the worst case, ulceration develops: a violation of the integrity of the stomach or intestine. In such a situation, only emergency surgery can save the patient's life.Neoplasms malignant and benign The clinical picture of neoplasms of the digestive canal is very diverse. Everything can start with any microsymptoms, including a sour belch. It is important not to delay a visit to the doctor, as the treatment of such acidic belching in home remedies is simply impossible. A radical cure is possible only in the early stages with the provision of qualified surgical care. The causes and treatment of acidic belching and heartburn are closely interrelated, as therapy is aimed at eliminating the cause of the disease. The patient should contact a family doctor or gastroenterologist for help. .
