Got questions about life and the Christian faith?

If you’re looking for answers then maybe it’s time to make a Start. Normally run in groups of about 6 to 10 people, each session involves video clips, exercises, group discussion and time for reflection. Each session lasts about an hour and is free to attend.

– What’s life all about and where are we going?
– Does God exist and what is He like?
– Why is the world in such a mess?
– Who was Jesus, and is He relevant?
– What does Jesus’ death on the cross mean for me today?
– How far can I go forward with God in my life?

Start will help you discover more about God, Jesus and the journey of life.

Exploring Faith

At St Luke’s we believe that Jesus came to bring life in all its fullness. And we would love you to explore with us the person of Jesus, what he teaches us about God and how he came to save us.

We also believe that God reveals himself in the Bible, so we also encourage people to read and learn from the Bible themselves and with others.

There are a number of ways we do this at St Luke’s:

Courses like START! or Alpha
Confirmation Classes
Baptism preparation
Bible studies – Currently meet on Thursday
Small groups or House Groups – ‘Look, Learn, Live‘ & Tuesday Small Group
Listen to sermons and talks on our Facebook Page

Midweek Communion

We have a Midweek Holy Communion service at St Luke’s Church each Wednesday at 12pm.

It’s a short Communion Service with prayer and scripture, which we hold in the side chapel in church.

Learn, Look, Live

Learn, Look, Live is a small group community who meet every fortnight to share food and life together. We share stories from the Bible, making space to talk about how these stories may offer us wisdom and direction in our lives today.

Whether you’ve been a Christian for years or are just exploring faith, it’s a great place to come to build friendships, to bring your questions, and to dig deeper into your friendship with God.

Alpha

Most people have loads of questions about God, life, morality, the Bible… Making time to ask these questions is so important. The Alpha Course is a really good place to hear about some of the basic teachings of Christianity, and to talk about some big issues. For more information about Alpha click here.
