Our projects often work with Re:Establish and we host some of their events. We are looking forward to helping the charity to develop our adjoining land, for an exciting future project.
Sue Kaye
I’m Sue Kaye and I run the St Luke’s Gardening and Environmental Project which aims to help young people learn to grow veg and flowers to improve their community.
Projects we have done involve growing pictorial meadow flowers with young people and Healthy Holidays and after school clubs in partnership with Dewsbury Rd Hub and work with the gardens and community at Trentham Park.
Environmental Project
We run an environmental project in the Malvern Road area and at the Dewsbury Road Community Hub. From Healthy Holidays to working at Trentham Park, from growing vegetables in community raised beds, to planting pictorial meadows on the estate, there is work going on all over Holbeck, Hunslet and Beeston Hill.
Philip Hebden
My name is Philip and I’ve lived in Leeds most of my life. I’ve been attending St Luke’s for about 10 years. As well as working as the Church Mice worker, I also work for Winder Power testing electrical transformers.
I’ve been married to Laura for almost 10 years and I have two children
In my spare time I help with the 11th Cubs and love to be in the outdoors exploring and having a camp fire to cook over.
