Andie Shaw – Curate

26th July 2022 by laurah

Hello! I’m Andie, the curate at St Luke’s. You can email me on Andie.Shaw@leeds.anglican.org.
I’m married to Allan and we have two children, Zach and Eliza-Lilly. I love spending time with the family in the great outdoors, taking photos, gardening, baking and creating.
I have had the privilege of teaching in Belle Isle for a number of years before childminding in Wortley. I spent many years at Christ Church Armley, where I planted a fresh expressions church. I trained at St Hild college and worked alongside the team at St Luke’s and the team at Hunslet Gathering.

I was ordained in July 2022 and have the joy of serving my curacy in Holbeck, Beeston Hill and Hunslet.

Jean-Louis Péchèr – Vicar of Hunslet

18th March 2020 by laurah

Hello! I’m Jean-Louis, the vicar of Hunslet. You can call me on 07850 701588 or email rev@pecheronline.org

Jean-Louis wrote this before his ordination in June 2019: “After attending Christ Church Upper Armley for 15 years, it is time for us to move to St Luke’s in Holbeck where I will be serving as Curate following ordination in the Church of England this June.

I was born in Belgium, but over the years have had the privilege to live, study and work in many different countries with my amazing wife, Ruth, who is British. We have four wonderful children and two delightful granddaughters. We love caring for our daughter who has complex needs and spending time with friends and family, here and abroad.

Over the years, I have been a programmer, a holiday park manager, a programme director, a pastor, a business consultant and an eternal student. I enjoy technology, reading and flying. I am really looking forward to meeting new friends and discovering Leeds 11.”

Alistair Kaye – Vicar

16th April 2019 by laurah

I’m Alistair the Vicar of St Luke’s. I have lived over 20 years in Leeds, but grew up in Watford and am originally from Australia. I’m currently on a period of leave till the end of October please contact a member of the other clergy in the meantime.

I am married to Sue, and we have a daughter (Shona) and son (Callum) along with their wonderful partners plus two grandchildren. We both enjoy walking the Dales, and I particularly love swimming, football (the Hornets) and anything outdoors!

We have worked in an inner-city context for many years. I did my first curacy in Bradford in Great Horton parish, before moving to Rushden in Northamptonshire where we helped plant a church. We returned to Yorkshire in 1998 where I became vicar of Christchurch, Upper Armley, Leeds. From Armley I became the Deanery Missioner before joining St Lukes in 2013.

And here’s an interview with Al from 2018
